I know I sure have!
I don’t know about you but some feelings just lead me to food.
Do you ever find yourself overeating when you experience negative emotions?
It’s so easy to do!I used to think that something was wrong with me when I experienced negative emotions.
I thought that feelings should be good and comfortable all of the time.
So when I experienced negative feelings I would use food or wine to escape the feeling.
I have since learned that life is a balance of positive and negative emotion.
Knowing that life is 50/50 positive and negative, I am less negative about the negative. 😌
I’m much more accepting of negative emotions and believe that they are normal and part of being human.
Learning how to just allow myself to feel a negative emotion changed the relationship I have with myself and the people around me.
I became less reactive and more compassionate with myself and those around me
Learning how to confidently process negative emotions, will reduce the need to escape them.
If you’re feeling frustrated or angry or sad get curious about why you’re feeling that way.
Ask yourself: What am I thinking that is causing me to feel ___________?
Remember that feelings are just a vibration in the body and they are harmless.
Leaning how to just be with an emotion without reacting to it will create much more confidence in your life!
